Managing Director and Professor at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria - expert in Ecodesign, sustainable product development Wolfgang Wimmer achieved his Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994 and in 1999 his PhD in Engineering Design and Systems Engineering, Since 2002 he holds a professorship at the Vienna University of Technology in Engineering Design and ECODESIGN. Wolfgang Wimmer started already in 1996 with the Austrian Ecodesign platform and in 2001 he developed the Ecodesign PILOT – Product Investigation, Learning and Optimization Tool for companies to environmentally improve their products. Since then he lead many projects with industry and published three books on Ecodesign. In 2005 Wolgang Wimmer founded the ECODESIGN company GmbH together with Kuno Mo Lee and John Polak. He is author of three books about Ecodesign:

Adriana Diaz holds Bachelor and Msc. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela and worked as an Process Engineer and consultant for the National oil Company, pharmaceutical and consultancy firms in Venezuela. She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University in the USA, where she completed the first Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for the USA powder metallurgy industry. She also conducted LCA of vehicle recycling systems at the Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she worked as post-doctoral research fellow. In 2009 Dr. Diaz joined the ECODESIGN company to develop strategies for product improvements and eco-product design through the use of Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon Footprinting of products and services. Dr. Díaz is certified Environmental Management Representative (ISO 14001), certified Internal Auditor (ISO 19011), and certified Energy efficiency Representative (ISO 50001).

Dr. Rainer Pamminger studied Mechanical Engineering at the Vienna Technical University (VUT) and the University of Salford (UK). Since 2002 he works at the Institute for Engineering Design at the VUT, where he manages national and EU research projects. These focus on the development of methods and tools to perform environmental assessments (e.g., Life Cycle Assessment), product development (e.g., ECODESIGN PILOT) as well as environmental communications (e.g., Energy efficiency labels). Dr. Pamminger´s doctoral work concentrated on the integration of environmental requirements during the product development process for tramways. Since 2011 he is part of the ECODESIGN company team, and works in the conception and development of tools that integrate environmental aspects on product development processes of diverse organizations and sectors. He also coordinates the customization for enterprises of the web-platform ECODESIGN+ for the assessment of the Carbon Footprint of products.

Brigitte Auer, B.A. studied art history and business administration at the University of Zurich and worked as a project manager at a scientific think tank in Vienna before joining the Eco Design team in 2023.

Alois Kralovec is master carpenter and is responsible for developing prototypes but also for the production and the service support of our own product Varroa Controller.

Michael Fasching graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology in 2020. In his current Master's program he is specializing in design, construction science, product development and Ecodesign. He is part of the ECODESIGN company team since June 2022. His tasks involve product development and CAD. Sustainability is a personal interest and endeavour for him. He is a passionate cyclist and enthusiastic about wood working and furniture making.

Dr. Helena Proková holds a master degree in Management studies, with a focus on international economic affairs from the University of Aix-Marseille III. in France. She also finished a Masters program in European Union's Studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. She holds a PhD. in Management from the Comenius University in Slovakia, with a focused on environmental management strategies and practices. She completed her thesis on brand building with emphasis on environmental and social aspects. She has developed a holistic brand building model, which she applied in a major energy supply company Slovensky priemyselny podnik, a.s. (SPP). She worked a CSR manager for Ekofond, the non-investment fund of SPP. She accomplished a beekeeping professional training from the beekeeping school in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. She has been continuously organizing and participating in trainings for beekeepers in Slovakia and Czech Republic with a special interest in the new treatment methods against parasites in the last five years.

Sebastian Glaser studied mechanical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology. He focused through his university education on mechatronics and product development. Since May 2015 he is part of the ECODESIGN company team, and covers product development and CAD, as well as measurement technology and mechatronics.
